What you need:

  • 2 lbs round steak, trimmed of excess fat and cut into serving size
    pieces
  • 1 c uncooked rice
  • 1 green pepper, chopped
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 c water
  • 2 t beef bouillon granules
  • 2 T vegetable oil
  • 1/8 t black pepper

What you do:

  • Heat oil in a large skillet.  Add steak to skillet and cook only until
    browned on both sides.  Add steak and remaining ingredients to
    a 3.5 quart or larger crock pot and mix.  Cook, covered, for 6-7
    hours on low, or until rice is tender but not mushy.
