What you need:
- 1 lb dry ziti pasta, cooked al dente and drained
- 1 lb ground turkey
- 2 (26-28 oz) jars spaghetti sauce of your choice
- 1.5 c plain low-fat Greek yogurt
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 6 oz sliced provolone cheese
- 4 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 c Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1 T oregano
What you do:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Brown ground turkey with onion, garlic and oregano in a large
skillet; drain any fat. Stir in spaghetti sauce and mushrooms, simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Grease a 9”x13” baking dish. Layer: 1/2 of the ziti, all of the
provolone cheese, all of the Greek yogurt, 1/2 of the sauce mixture, the rest of the ziti, mozzarella cheese and the rest of the sauce mixture. Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top. Cover and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until cooked the baked ziti is cooked through.
