What you need:

  • 1 lb dry ziti pasta, cooked al dente and drained
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 (26-28 oz) jars spaghetti sauce of your choice
  • 1.5 c plain low-fat Greek yogurt
  • 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 6 oz sliced provolone cheese
  • 4 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 c Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 T oregano

What you do:

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  
  • Brown ground turkey with onion, garlic and oregano in a large
    skillet; drain any fat.  Stir in spaghetti sauce and mushrooms,
    simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.  
  • Grease a 9”x13” baking dish.  Layer: 1/2 of the ziti, all of the
    provolone cheese, all of the Greek yogurt, 1/2 of the sauce
    mixture, the rest of the ziti, mozzarella cheese and the rest of the
    sauce mixture.  Sprinkle Parmesan cheese on top.  Cover and
    bake for 30-35 minutes, or until cooked the baked ziti is cooked
    through.
