What you need:

  • 11/2 c sugar
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/3 c cold water
  • 2 t light corn syrup
  • 1 t vanilla
  • 1/4 t salt

What you do:

  • Place all ingredients in the top of double boiler.  Put over boiling
    water and beat with a hand mixer at high speed for seven
    minutes, or until frosting stands in peaks.  Remove from heat
    and beat some more until thick.
