What you need:

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast halves or thighs
  • 10.75 oz can tomato soup
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1/2 c green pepper, chopped
  • 1/4 c vinegar
  • 2.5 T brown sugar
  • 1 T Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 t liquid smoke
  • 1 t dried basil
  • 1 t dried thyme
  • salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

What you do:

  • Salt and pepper chicken.  Place chicken breasts or thighs in the
    bottom of a 3.5 quart or larger slow cooker / crock pot.  Add
    remaining ingredients to a medium bowl and mix.  Pour mixture
    over chicken.  Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours.
