This can easily turn into a very delectable and tasty Asian treat for the family. For several years now, stir fries have received hundreds or even thousands of alterations to bring in the taste of a local favorite, such as pizza flavors, tangy and spicy flavors, peanut flavors and many more. Some have indicated that fruits can actually provide additional distinguishing flavor to a stir fry and may be original if the fruit is only found in a certain locality.
Well, this is the fate of stir fry today as it continue to gain popularity throughout the world. More recipes are coming in the internet for everyone to try and see for themselves if the recipe can be perfected to suit their own family's desire. In this article, we will share a recipe for stir frying that you can actually improve in your own kitchens according to your family's preferences. There may be no perfect stir fry, but there will always be a stir fry that suits your family. Try this out in your kitchens and perhaps you can create your own best fry with this recipe to start with.
OUR ORIGINAL BEEF STIR FRY: The recipe can make four servings.
WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE:
12 ounces beef round steak or sirloin steak
3 tablespoons dry sherry
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons bottled hoisin sauce
1 tablespoon ginger or � teaspoon ground ginger
2 teaspoons cornstarch
1 teaspoon sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
� teaspoon red pepper flakes, crushed please
1 tablespoon cooking oil
1 cup carrot, peel and slice into bite size pieces
1 (14 ounce) can whole baby corn, please drain liquid
1 red sweet pepper, cut into 1-inch pieces
2 cups hot cooked rice
Chop green onions for garnishing
HOW TO MAKE IT:
Partially freeze the beef for easier slicing. Slice the meat across the grain making bite size pieces. Reserve.
For sauce, mix together in a small bowl the sherry, the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, sugar, the garlic, the crushed red pepper flakes, water, cornstarch, and reserve.
Begin frying by heating a wok or large skillet over medium-high flame on your American stove. Then add oil. Wait till it is hot.
Then add the carrot and cook for 2 minutes. Then add the baby corn and sweet pepper. Stir for two minutes until the vegetables are tender but still crisp. Then transfer it to a plate and reserve.
Reheat the wok and add the beef. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes flipping the beef once until the meat is slightly pink in center. Then push meat to the sides of the wok.
Pour in the sauce to center of wok. Stir the sauce until it bubbles and starts to thicken.
Add back the vegetables to pan and stir the ingredients together to coat with the sauce. Cook for 2 minutes more.
Serve this recipe for stir fry immediately with hot steamed rice.
If desired, sprinkle with sliced green onions.
