What you need:

  • 1 large tomato, cut into wedges
  • 1 T chopped fresh basil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 T extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 ½ t balsamic vinegar
  • Salt to taste
  • black pepper to taste

What you do:

  • Combine basil, garlic, olive oil, vinegar, salt and pepper in a bowl.  
    Add tomato and toss until evenly coated.  Let sit at room
    temperature about an hour before serving.
