What you need:
- 15 oz can tomato puree
- 1 t crushed red pepper
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 T olive oil
- 1/2 t salt
- dash black pepper
What you do:
- Combine all ingredients in a small saucepan and mix until
smooth. Bring sauce to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Use as a sauce for tamales or enchiladas, or to spice up your meat or poultry dish.
